Olive is a 3-1/2 year old, 50 pound girl that is happy, beautiful and affectionate to people and other dogs.
Olive loves to go for walks and her favorite pace is whatever pace you want. She doesn’t pull on the leash and likes to stay faithfully two steps in front of you as your protector. But from this position you can see one of her really cute mannerisms. When she sees something of interest, her ears and head raise high and she begins to prance with her front legs moving up and down faster than our walking speed. Her foster calls it her poodle prance.

Olive is housebroken and will go to the door to let you know she would like to go out. She has wonderful house manners and current lives with two male Great Pyrenees and a Yorkie. She likes all of them but her favorite is the Yorkie and she is gentle when they play. She has free roam of the house and at night has many sleeping spots including the foot of the fosters bed, on the couch or one of the many dog beds in the house. She is not particular and adapted quickly to a new routine when she moved into her foster home. Olive has no food or treat aggression and actually chews each kibble at mealtime which makes her a slow but steady eater. She has a soft mouth and sits patiently waiting for a treat.

Olive knows basic commands and will even come when called in the middle of a squirrel hunt. She is very affectionate and loves to be in the same room with her foster and brothers. Her foster often leaves her for 6 hours at a time and she is never destructive. And she is an excellent guard dog and will let you know if someone is approaching the house but if the person is let inside she stops.
Olive’s perfect home would have another dog, large or small, and could have teenage children. She likes to run and play outside so a fenced yard is required.

Her foster says she is so sweet and easy to care for that she needs a forever home soon before he decides to keep her.
