Colin was born around August 2020 and is a Pyr Anatolian German Shepherd mix. He also has smaller amounts of Black Lab and Husky. He is cute, smart, funny, playful, gets along with other dogs after careful and slow introductions, and knows basic commands. In his foster home, it has been determined that he will enthusiastically give you whatever he is guarding in exchange for treats.

He loves playing with other dogs (after careful, slow introductions), being petted and adored by humans, chasing balls or sticks and napping. He would like to have a close bond with his human or humans.

Colin is a beauty. He is 105 pounds and this should be his lifetime weight as he is healthy, fit, and trim. He gets along with other dogs but requires a slow introduction. He may also be able to be an only dog. He can play pretty intensely, so another large or giant breed dog that wants a playful companion would be ideal for him.

Colin would do best with a confident, experienced dog owner who has researched Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherds or is familiar with one of these breeds. A home with adults (teens okay) would be best for Colin. He would do best in a cat free home or with dog friendly, very tolerant, confident cat(s).

Colin benefits from regular brushing/combing although he has a slightly less fluffy coat than a purebred Pyr.
