Hi! I’m Janis—yes, like the rock legend, and trust me, I bring my own kind of soulful charm. I may not have a record deal (yet), but if you’re the singing type, I’ll happily howl along with you if you feel like a little duet! Born around March 2020, I’m a Great Pyrenees/Spaniel mix with a face that’s utterly smoochable, and freckles that look like they were hand-painted by a very affectionate artist. I’m a total snugglebug at heart, and nothing makes me happier than curling up with my humans, getting belly rubs, or leaning in close for some quality ear scratches. But I also enjoy a good adventure, and I’m a walking buddy who can keep pace whether you’re strolling leisurely like a poet or power-walking like you’re late for brunch. Along the way, I love making new human friends—I’m very social like that! I’m also very clever and eager to please. I pick up verbal cues quickly, and if you’d like to teach me hand signals too, I’ll learn with tail-wagging enthusiasm. I’m so polite about potty breaks that I’ll even ring a bell when it’s time to head outside—because why bark when you can be classy about it? That said, I’m a little bit of a talker, but only in the most charming ways. I’ll let you know when I’m happy, when I’m excited, or when it’s clearly walk-o’clock. As for car rides, I’ll leap right in like it’s a VIP limo pickup—though I might sing you a little song from the back seat because, who doesn’t get excited about a road trip? Now, let’s talk logistics. I’m a solo act—I prefer to be the only dog in the house, and cats? Let’s just say I’m not looking to collaborate. And while I adore greeting kids sweetly on walks, I think a calm home without young children is where I’ll really shine, though visiting kids who are older and respectful are just fine. At the end of the day, I’m just a sweet, affectionate girl looking for my perfect duet partner in life. Could it be you?
