Phoebe is a big, sweet, beautiful puppy, born April 21, 2025. She’s an affectionate, loving girl with a big heart and an equally big personality. Phoebe is fully crate trained and does wonderfully — she sleeps through the night without a peep and will even choose her crate for naps. She takes her “guardian duties” seriously and will happily alert you to visitors, delivery drivers, dogs passing by, or anything she thinks might need your attention. This sweet girl loves comfort just as much as activity. A soft couch, a cozy dog bed in the bedroom, or sleeping near her people would be a dream come true for her. She thrives on affection and cuddles. Phoebe is very active and plays hard, so she needs one or two large, young, playful canine companions to help burn off energy and prevent boredom. In her foster home, she does great as part of a big pack of active male and female dogs, though she does need a home without cats. When she’s properly exercised and mentally stimulated, she’s an absolute joy — boredom is when she’s most likely to get into mischief. Because of her size and energy level, Phoebe requires a securely fenced yard with a 6-foot fence to keep her safe. She loves the dog park and does well with both male and female dogs. As she matures, a large, friendly male companion may be an ideal match. Phoebe will come when called when it’s time to go back inside (though this does not yet equal full recall), and she must remain leashed when away from home. She loves walks and does great on the leash, with no reactivity to other dogs. She has not been around young children, so a home with respectful older kids would be best. Phoebe would thrive in a home where someone is home more often than not and can continue to meet her physical and emotional needs. Her new family must be committed to continuing her education through positive, reward-based training outside the home to help her grow into the best version of herself.
