Hi, I’m Fran — part gentle soul, part cautious detective, and recently single after a brief and rocky relationship with life on the streets. I like to start new relationships the way any sensible lady would—with a little polite curiosity and a healthy dose of “let’s see what you’re about.” But don’t worry, I’m not judging your outfit, I just like to make sure you’re my kind of human before I go all in. The truth? I warm up fast. One minute I’m shy, the next I’m a total lovebug, leaning into you like we’ve been through three seasons of a buddy comedy together. I was born around June 2023, and I'm a laid-back girl who’s as sweet as they come. I used to be a stray, and I had a pretty rough cut on my back leg when they found me— but I’ve bounced back with a surprising amount of grace. My leg is healed now, and I’ve emotionally moved on, though I will accept sympathy in the form of cheese. I love other dogs (both the guys and the gals), and would be happiest in a home with a confident, playful friend who can show me the ropes—and maybe let me copy their homework on “How This Family Thing Works".  I’m food motivated (read: I will do almost anything for a cookie), and I happily go into my crate like it’s a cozy Airbnb with complimentary biscuits. If you’re into slow trust, soft eyes, and dogs who look like they might have a secret garden somewhere, swipe right. Or, you know, fill out an application. I’ll be here. Waiting. Probably dreaming about cheese.

GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to find the right fit comes first and foremost at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. If you are interested in adopting, please take the time, and apply. You will see firsthand how much care, attention and love goes into the process, when you are guided a personal screener. This is why we have people come back again and again for their next family member! See all our dogs, fill out an application and discover why we are the BEST at placing the right dog in the right home! https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/.

ADOPTION, FOSTERING, AND DONATIONS are just some of the ways you can help a rescued dog. We have worked hard to cultivate a large network of volunteers to save this majestic breed. While monetary donations are always much appreciated, you can also help by donating your time as a GPRS foster or volunteer.
